What is a CBT?

For anyone motorcycling on the public highway, Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) is the minimum level of motorbike rider training legally required to ride a motorcycle unaccompanied on the road, the aim is to provide you with a basic level of skill and competency to ensure you can ride a motorbike safely.

  • If you are 16 this is a moped up to 50cc;
  • If you are 17 and above , this can be a motorbike up to 125cc;
  • A UK provisional or full licence is required;
  • "L" Plates must be shown on your motorbike;
  • Needs to be renewed every two years, or until you pass your full test.

Prices

CBT Prices start from £130. A £40 minimum deposit is required.

Courses are available on week days and weekends.
1-to-1 tuition available (on request).
Bike hire and fuel included in course fee.

What to Wear

  • Jeans for leg protection,
  • Boots for foot protection,
  • We provice the rest: helmets, jackets, gloves, motorbike (or bring your own!)
